Times Tables is a multiplication and division exercise program. It is designed to help the user develop greater speed and proficiency with numbers.
Beyond simply providing the exercise of doing the problems, Times Tables will pick out the problems you're not as fast at, along with any you get wrong, and let you go though them again at the end of the initial quiz. And you can repeat this 'review set' multiple times if you wish, or reduce it to a smaller set.
After you complete a quiz, the program shows you your score and some details about your time. And if you run what is called a 'challenge', your score can be added to a scoreboard.
A challenge is basically a defined set of problems with its own scoreboard. Any named user can create a challenge, and any named user who completes a challenge will have their name added to the scoreboard. Also, if you create a challenge, you have control over who can view and run it.
Though most multiplication and division practice will be with small numbers,
Times Tables is also ready to work with large numbers. You could, for example,
run a quiz of dividing 10 digit numbers by 1 digit numbers, or multiplying pairs
of 3 or 4 digit numbers, making for a more challenging number crunching exercise.
The limit of the range you can define is about 18 digits. Just be sure to set a
limit on the number of problems or the time, or you'll never reach the end.
Times Tables is available to download for free.
